Natasha Charles McQueen, Ph.D.
This space grew from a simple intention: to create a place where ideas, creativity, and mental wellness could meet. It’s still taking shape, but it’s built with care, openness, and the hope that it helps others feel seen. At its core, this space is an act of mental health advocacy, amplifying voices, sharing resources, and challenging stigma through creativity, connection, and community.

Founded by Dr. Natasha Charles McQueen, a licensed mental health provider, administrator, and multidisciplinary artist, this platform reflects the belief that healing extends beyond clinical walls. It happens in shared stories, creative expression, and intentional community care.

Through her initiative, Calabash Family, Dr. Charles McQueen leads projects like Artistic Alchemy and the Self-Improvement Saga, blending mental health education with creative practice. The site features poetry, blog posts, multimedia art, and guided reflections—all designed to foster growth, awareness, and healing.

The platform also features work by Leonard “Jerry” Horsford, a photographer and poet whose visual storytelling is matched by his written voice. Jerry is the author of a published poetry collection and is currently working on his second book..

L.J. Horsford
L.J. Horsford discovered his passion for photography during his early teens in Grenada, where he formed meaningful connections with his subjects. This journey has enriched his life with unique experiences and perspectives that might have otherwise been overlooked. Through his work, he aims to foster mindful interactions between viewers and the subjects they capture. Now residing in Chesterfield, Missouri, he continues to explore the art of photography with their family by their side.
Kenny McQueen
Kenny McQueen serves as Executive Producer to Krushcaan Entertainment, a registered Music Record Label, which aims to provide opportunity to musicians. They produce Soca and Dancehall Riddims year-round and have partnered with LA MUD Promotions to put on Events in the community of Grenada and the Grenadian diaspora.
