Dr Natasha Charles McQueen

Dr. Natasha Charles McQueen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Maryland with over 12,000 hours of experience in outpatient therapy and community mental health. She earned her PhD in Psychology from Walden University in 2024. She provides individual therapy for adults and adolescents (ages 16+), offering comprehensive support for anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other emotional and relational challenges. Her approach is deeply client-centered and integrative, recognizing that each person’s path to healing is unique. Whether you’re navigating mental health concerns, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, Dr. Charles McQueen offers a safe, empathetic, and judgment-free space for you to explore, heal, and grow.
Before entering clinical practice, Dr. Charles McQueen spent over eight years working as a correctional officer. This experience provided invaluable insight into the impact of stress, trauma, and resilience within high-pressure environments. Her doctoral dissertation focused on mental health care and psychological help-seeking among correctional officers, reflecting her ongoing commitment to reducing mental health stigma. In outpatient counseling, Dr. Charles McQueen has worked with diverse populations, including first responders, incarcerated adults, sexual assault survivors, and mature adults. Her therapeutic style blends client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and insight-oriented techniques. Clients describe her as encouraging, grounded, and insightful, bringing both expertise and genuine care to every session.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Charles McQueen is the creator of Dead Mic Society – The Sessions, a creative-wellness project and YouTube Series that merges spoken word, mindfulness, and therapeutic reflection. Through this platform, she explores how storytelling, sound, and shared expression can support healing, resilience, and community connection.
